Crowns

A crown is a full-coverage restoration typically made of metal, porcelain, zirconia, or a combination to provide strength and stability to a tooth. Crowns are usually recommended for heavily filled, fractured, or endodontically treated teeth.

Bridges

A bridge is a tooth replacement option. Support teeth on either side of the space are crowned and joined by a prosthetic tooth, which fills the space “bridging the gap.” A bridge is one unit that is bonded or cemented, making it non-removable.

Implants

An implant is a single or multiple tooth replacement option. Implants are titanium fixtures that are placed in the jawbone, similar to a tooth root, upon which a crown, bridge or denture is placed.

Root Canals

A root canal is a procedure that removes the pulp or “the nerve” from the tooth. It is performed when the pulp becomes damaged or infected, which often results in you having a toothache. Once the pulp is removed, the canal that held the pulp is then cleaned, disinfected, and sealed from future bacterial infection. A crown is then recommended to help prevent the tooth from fracturing.

Extractions

An extraction is the removal of a tooth from the socket. It is used as a last resort to alleviate tooth pain and/or infection or to remove a tooth that is unrestorable. Once the tooth is removed, we can discuss options for replacing the missing tooth.
